Helping Small Businesses / Job Growth
The United States economy will remain stunted until the government is able to help people create new and innovative businesses through incentive programs. Congress has been preaching about job creation since 2008 but no effective action has occurred. As a result, we are experiencing extremely high unemployment rates and continued economic decline.
Congress must make it a priority to shift it’s focus onto job creation. Through a partnership with local business owners, the government can become more aware of what is needed to move forward and make business creation and job development a more reasonable endeavor for private owners.
In general, the small business owner has lost confidence in the return of a stable economy and has suffered due to a lack of support from banks and limited credit lines for development and growth. The government must be assertive in it’s actions. They must apply the needs of small business owners to legislation that will improve the economic environment in which they operate.
Congress needs to start examining new industries and place the needs of the American people and small businesses above their own. Congress must start operating more effectively to maximize the potential for business creation and ownership and support the small businesses already in existence. Officials have been placed with the responsibility to ensure that the national goals are that of the peoples goals but in recent years we have been moving in the other direction. It’s time for a change.
